About Suzanne

Suzanne McDonald began her career as Assistant Organist and Choral Director at Christ Church Cathedral, Canada. After she completed her Bachelors in performance at McGill University she was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Royal School of Church Music, London, England. She continued her studies at Boston Conservatory of Music where she received The Dowell McNeill award and her Masters in music.

She has studied with James David Christie, Peter Hurford, and Bernard Lagacé. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians including David Wilcocks, Barry Rose, Christopher Herrick, Simon Preston, Philip Moore, and John Rutter.

Suzanne has performed in cathedrals and recital halls in the States as well as abroad. Recently, during her time in New York City she directed a professional chamber choir. She founded and directed the Levy Choir School- a tuition free choir school for children in New York of all backgrounds. Suzanne is committed to bringing new works to her audiences. the Levy Choir School premiered a composition of Blanket of Stars at a program performed with the United Nations Chamber Orchestra.

Suzanne contributes to the larger musical community by serving as a judge for the National Piano Guild and state festivals. As an organist, she served on the national conference committee for the Association of Anglican Musicians as well as participating with AGO and ACDA.
